WASSSUP brothers and sisters Burners !!!

Hate to start another topic like this if there is any like one exists, but can someone recommend something dissent that will be happening on the playa from Thursday?

No disrespect to creators of crap-art like "farting-and-sniffing bar", "teabagging-of-your-neighbor lounge" or â€œLetâ€™s-look-at-piece-of-poop establishmentâ€

Golden Cafe. Live music and drinks in glass glasses, daytime bar for the most part.

They always need ice, mixers and dishwahsers if you care to participate.

I've always liked the Lost Penguin Cafe. I dig chocolate and wine and they tend to have acoustic musicians there a lot (I'm a hip hop/house music head, but I WANT acoustic music out there for some reason.)

Camp Automatic Subconscious will have a huge dome with silks performances, a bar, a public stage and a smaller dome for smoking and relaxing. They may have someone doing phrenology. AutoSub will most likely be on the Esplanade.

Ambulate or ride out to the trashfence at least once during event to get a hint of the vastness of place. The man of course, the temple, center camp, the art tour from Artery, shiny bits at night, try to find the best bar... so much to see and do, so little time. For sound camps, just follow your ears.

Random place suggestion: go to the man, spin bottle, head out that direction and hit every location till you get to Lineage Street. Example= take the 3:30 tour...

Don't forget to pick up your daily newspaper on the playa: Black Rock Beacon. We'll be checking out the good stuff all week and wrapping it up in the newspaper.

There'll be a box of newspapers at Center Camp, Media Mecca, the Man, 3:00 plaza and 9:00 plaza. In addition some carriers will be distributing in neighbourhoods throughout the city.

FWIW, in my humble opinion, Thursday is the best day to be on the playa. Not only the fact the ePlaya M&G is then, but those who should be on the playa already are and the yahoos who only come in for the weekend are not. The best of both worlds. Now personally I have a certain affection for frat boys and Clampers, being one of each, but these nose pickers who come in Friday late afternoon just to fuck with my head and drink our wine, well, up yours. Not this year, not on Doc's watch. Nosiree Bob.
