HEY!!!!
THERE WAS A CRAZY IDEA OF HAVING A CRITICAL MEGAPHONE PARADE A FEW YEARS AGO ON THE PLAYA. I DON'T THINK IT HAPPENED...BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE FUNNY/ANNOYING.
WHAT ABOUT IF WE MADE A MEETING PLACE AND TOOK A WALK AROUND THE ESPLANADE TO CENTER CAMP AND TOLD PEOPLE WHAT WE THOUGHT...AT THE TOP OF OUR LUNGS...AS A ROAMING PACK...WITH NO CONSISTENT MESSAGE!!!!!!!!
ANYONE ELSE THINK THIS WOULD BE FUNNY?

One of my fondest memories of my first burn was one morning shortly after dawn, when the city is arguably at it's quietest and people are trying to get some sleep before their tents turn into ovens, a naked man wielding a megaphone came marching through telling everyone one to be quiet because people were trying to sleep.

The irony was not lost on me.

So now I have my own megaphone.

And I plan to use it. Sparingly, but effectively.

Having a "Million Megaphone March" would be proper IMO

ummm...does that mean I should put it in the WWW (only a week left)???
I am looking for commitment on dates/times/locations.
Personally as much as I would love to ironically wake people up, I think it might be better received mid afteroon on say Tuesday or Wed?

Start at the 9:00 Plaza (aka 9 @ Biology)
And then we walk and YELL our way around the Esplanade to centre camp, and if we haven't been killed by then, we can try to make it around to the 3 Plaza?
Since the Monkey Chant is listed as 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Tues, Wed and Thursday. I don't really want to crash the centre camp during that ( I would rather participate)
We could also step it up early and do Tuesday 4pm?

so ummm-
Are you bringing an air horn truck? Or do you just like to post photos of them? If you have such a truck- get a Mutant Vehicle plate and let cruse around in it with mega phones- and fuck blow horns...people will love it!

I am also part of a group that does the "Board Room" a mobile borad room car- we could all drive around on that with Mega phones? but you need at least a tie and jacket - so you look CorePirate.

I am looking for a megaphone (preferably with detachable mic, shoulder strap, and if available, extra input as well) for my performances of Wild Crepes of BRC, a performance/ tour of Wild Crepes on the Playa.

Shouldn't that be 4:00am to 5:00am. No one can hear you during the day time! Just the nature of the desert, the hot sun and baking playa absorb sounds. Plus all the competition from the loud sound areas.
