Hey... I'd like to get something clarified about Camp Herring.
I just looked at the camp's own web site, and it mentions -- emphasizes, even -- that nudity is not allowed in Herring Camp.
Now... I'm some sort of Supporting Member of Herring Camp, and I think I remember how the nudity question began. What I recall is that the Herring Men are very easily distracted by the sight of lovely ladies wearing their birthday suits -- to the point that such ladies could be deployed to tactical advantage against the Herrings in battle. Realizing their weakness, and refusing to make any change to this natural phenomenon, the Herrings attempted to get such distractions added to the Geneva Convention of Warfare as unfair fighting.
But now it sounds like all nudity is banned in Herring Camp -- not just nubile nudity in times of battle. What gives? We would not want to confuse or mislead anyone -- specially not any lovely ladies who might wander into camp nude in the middle of a truce, peace or cease-fire.
