2008 Burn Night photos

Seeing as tribe has fallen and has yet to get back up, I like others find myself on eplaya. It has been a while since I last posted here.

I'm still working on my 2008 images and have posted a web gallery/slideshow of my burn night selects.

These images were made with my new Nikon D700 Fx DSLR, hand held with the old Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 lens. The low light capabilities of this camera are stunning! Some of the images in the gallery were made at up to ISO 12,800 with very little noise/grain.

The correct statement would be just before Burning Man.

This camera body will pay for itself many times over in the next year in my photo business.

The moisture/dust sealing on the D700 body also performed exceptionally well, not one dust spot on my sensor despite the white outs and I took no special effort to protect this camera.

2005 destroyed my then D70 Dx format sensor, glad I had purchased the extended warrenty that time.

I was out shooting with my D300 and I now have a massive case of ISO envy in a big way.
