Anybody want to help create a Catalunya style "Fiesta Major" parade with large, often ugly paper mache heads mounted on poles? In Spain they usually have a king and queen, and maybe the patron saint of the town, then a whole bunch of other heads. Is there an existing parade that this could be bolted onto?
The participants make a fabric tunic held by a cross bar at the figures "shoulders" and walk around under the tunic "body", bobbing the head, dancing to the marching band. The heads are 8-12 high. In Catalunya, they also tend to have these "devils" who run around in burlap hoodies and tops hats, showering folks with sparks from pitchfork mounted fireworks. (This would be perfect for "Burning Man", but not allowed, alas...)
Does BRC have a patron saint? Hmmm...
