You know what would be fantastic? If you could somehow coordinate them all to set up a route. That way the pub's crawl to YOU! lol

Ok this is what I was thinking.

The pub-crawl will have no organization at all.

Only date, time, map and instructions.
On a large post card. you can Walk bike or MV the route. Bar owners will have something to identify them as a pub-crawl bar member. Mv owners will have a Special lam ID to identify them as a pub-crawl MV owner. . Bar and MV owners decide how to interact with people on the crawl (special drink, or a song, maybe a trick, or a interrogation you know fun). MV owners decide the crawl pace and when the MV leaves and if you can ride or not (no guarantied MV ride).
So no cats to heard. Just here is your post card. Now it’s your responsibility to make it though the crawl all stated on the card.


So for the crawlers it’s kind of a bar, art, MV, Black Rock City tour for them. With the card you can do the crawl any time all week long if you missed actual the crawl.

I should point out that the plan for the cards is to make them in such a way
that so if lost.
Its swag people will want to pickup and keep not just a piece of moop.

Wow, I guess I will never make it to the crawl since I never know what time it is on the playa. At BM there are two times of day, "Fucking Hot" and "Night".

I have to agree the time will be a problem. You might want to time it by nightfall to sunrise..(that way you can get in Fucking Hot and Night)

Unless you are trying to start it earlier in the afternoon. Then something like..the suns hottest fucking time of the day.

I dunno I think the bleach i used tonight killed my brain because all of my creative thoughts have been sapped.

BTW my small camp is thinking of doing a very small morning bar. Mimosas and Bloody Marys..for all of those folks that have gone all night and want to keep going through the morning.

To make your bespoke 24h clock, you will need:

1. A Ginger virgin that you enticed to BRC via ePlaya, from some land where the sun don't shine. The accuracy of your clock will be far better if you pick a component with lots of freckles and platinum-blonde eyelashes.

2. A ruse for them to remove all their clothes. Shouldn't prove too difficult even if they do possess offensive russet short 'n' curlies.

3. A short leash.

NB. Your new clock may not last longer than 48 hours, but it's accuracy will only ever improve.

I'm saving this post. I want to go on a mutant vehicle pub crawl. What day are you planning?

I would suggest though if you plan on having a parade of mutant vehicles go from pub to pub and park outside for any extended period of time be prepared to hear a complaint or possible visit from LE.

Last year a camp near 7:00 had a banging dance floor overflowing with happy peeps.. as a side effect there were so many bikes piling up in the street vehicles could not pass. LE complained and asked the Black Rock Rangers to address the matter. A couple Black Rock Rangers visited the camp and worked with them to find a better bike control solution.

While you are planning this pub crawl you might want to consider how many vehicles will participate and how you'll communicate with the drivers should LE arrive and ask the vehicles to be moved. They might also find it interesting that the driver of a mutant vehicle is making a pub crawl.

Our SantaKONG here in Chicago is done on trolleys. LE would prefer the drunks aren't riding bikes.

I'm definately in on this. We did this last year just for the hell of it. Didn't make to TOO far but we found some cool bars for later in the week.

I would make a LOT of laminated cards with the schedule. Find out bars hours. Morning, afternoon, evening, night, afterhours, all day etc. and print that for each bar. Maybe a ledgend with color coding linking bar names with hours. The map could also be distributed near the DMV to MVers. Many would do it spur of the moment like we did.

Dark Star made a good point. The Deep End had some problems with bikes also. But not with MVs really. It was a problem for us to get through in an MV. Bars on the list should not only be on a MV ok street but also would need to reserve some parking on the side of the street. MVs can't block the street. For esplanade bars, we're supposed to park across the street in open playa.

It's also difficult for MVers to leave their MV. Theft, mischief, vandalism, chaos and injury are some things that unsupervised MVs risk. So velvet rope parking with security would be supreme. Cause even though we ain't drinkin, doesn't mean that we don't like to hang out.

Now cut out pie shapes related to a bar's hours and put little pie pieces on a map of BRC on one side with the name of the bar (like a clock) and on the other side put your clock and other legend stuff. It will show who's open when and will be easy to find out what bar is near at any time of day. "The BRC Pub Crawl Time Piece"
