How do you define the American Dream? Awesome theme, especially given the world today.
I have been reading for weeks all of the angry bitching about how bad the theme is. I think I know what the problem is:
The soft, fleshy-headed types allowed someone else to define "The American Dream" for them. In their mind, it was a call to go 'Rah Rah" for the flag. That should be a peronal choice. I wonder why they are weak like that.
If they would employ a little "radical self-reliance", they would think before they whine.
As for my own definition. I come from Irish immigrants. America was a wonderland of freedom. Soldiers are prominant in every generation. Now is a tough time. I voted for Bush, both times, and would again. Its not a popular war, war rarely is. We still exist as the best chance for someone to succeed from nothing. Is it perfect? No, Jefferson admitted that. Name another country with the freedoms, or at least the attempt at freedom that we have.
